Having dropped out of an architecture degree due to her inability to get to grips with CAD, Australian CJ Hendry decided to channel the love she had for the architectural lines into something different. With a promise to go back to University if she did not sell one drawing in 365 days, CJ started creating photorealistic black and white drawings of high end fashion objects.

Two years later, and with a first sale of $10,000 ensuring that she never looked back, CJ’s drawings now boast a sale price of up to $50,000.

Using only UniPin pens and paper, CJ can often spend over two hundred hours on each drawing, from object selection to photographing the object to determine the best contrast with negative space, and finally putting pen to paper.
