When we first posted about a leather macaroon travel case created by the luxury luggage company Moynat, we immediately presumed that this was the designers first foray away from their signature traditional trunk collections. How wrong we were.

From handbags to picnic baskets, phone covers to beauty cases, the French label has come a long way from its 1849 roots and nearly a century and a half after the opening of their first boutique in Paris has opened its doors to the British elite of Mayfair’s Mount Street.

Understated, simplistic and devoid of the plethora of logos that we have come to associate with designer goods, one can only hope that others will follow in Moynat’s path and return to a level of quality and sophistication to equal the luxury products of old.
